Hopefully this answers the how's, where's, and why's of the person I am today.
Born in Wheaton, Illinois, I am the eldest of six brothers and sisters who've come into this world in the span of 8 years. Growing up, I've heard that no matter how hard you try, you always end up being like your parents in some way or another. With that being said, to know me, you have to meet Thomas and Jennifer Ciombor.
My parents went to high school together, but never talked to one another until my dad had the courage one day to go up to my mother (who at the time was two years his junior) and say to her, "One day I am going to marry you." She thought he was crazy and, crazy enough (now 30 years later), they are still together the same as ever.
At a young age, I was told several times on multiple occasions by my father to "NEVER BE AVERAGE." This is something that stuck with me to this day. There are no such words as "can't" or "impossible" in his book and he made sure to keep that stuck in all six of his children's brains.
Today, I have my parents to thank for being tough on me. I know I would have never been the successful designer I am today if I knew there was always an easy way out. At the age of 25, and having the experience I have under my belt, I can absolutely say that if I put my mind to anything, whether experienced in it or not, I know I never will let anyone down.
